A different kind of food story

I'm Lisa, the creator behind The Cake Baroness. My work gives cakes and sweets a character of their own, drawing on fantasy, science fiction, and gothic imagination.

For this first Food Journal entry, I'm starting with a selection from my cake collection. It is a glimpse into the creative side of food, where shape, colour, and detail become part of the story.

Small details, big personalities

A black and orange spider design pairs a large creature with a miniature version perched on a hand. Look closely at the long legs and contrasting colours: scale changes how the same design feels.

The miniature monster cake takes another approach. Pale pointed decorations rise above a simple cylindrical shape, with dramatic red drips against a dark background.

Two eyeball hot chocolate bombs finish the selection with bright blue centres. Familiar sweets become miniature props for a Halloween table.

ROAM gives me space to bring food, creativity, and travel together. This gallery is the beginning. More photographs, stories, and personal recommendations will follow as I build the journal.
